🚨Pro tip for speakers! Some presenters struggle whether to tell audience members something is on the left or right side of the slide. Whichever side it’s on when YOU look at the slide, it’s the same for the audience. No need to invoke radiology orientation rules! 😀 ⬅️➡️

Two nights ago I had the privilege to join a celebration for Dr. Alex McAdam (JClinMicro EIC), who was named Chief of the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Boston Children's. Couldn’t have a better leader and person in the role! 🎉👏🏻🥂

Happy to share our Clinical Problem-Solving case about an 8 year old with pharyngitis, published in today's NEJM! Kudos to the BCRP residents who cared for this patient and led the write-up. BCH Infectious Diseases PIDS Boston Children's nejm.org/doi/full/10.10…

I know first-hand how important Infectious Disease (ID) physicians are in a public health crisis. Yet, 80% of U.S. counties do not have an ID physician. To protect our nation’s public health, we must break down the barriers that stop medical students from becoming ID physicians.
